The Pool Operators course lasts for 12 hours and provides the participant with the knowledge necessary to act as and perform the duties of a pool operator. In this course students learn how swimming pool filter systems operate and proper use of sanitizing and balancing chemicals. A large segment of the course is held in a classroom, but those classroom concepts are solidified with hands on training conducted at a swimming pool.

After successfully passing this course employees will need to go to the county in which they work to obtain a pool operator’s license. Licensure will require an additional fee and in some cases and in some cases an additional test. U.S. Pools offers additional incentives to employees who obtain a Pool Operators license.
